Off with Nastychestycough - plus recipe for prawns

Yes, that nasty Russian ice-skater got hold of me again. So here I am, watching the rain pour down on the monkey puzzle tree, cuddled up to my flat coat retriever, Betsy. I've written up another ten pages of book three and I'm thinking about the future...

1. I need to take my wife away somewhere nice.
2. I need to get rid of this bug - should do No 2 first , really.
3. I need to get on a mainstream publisher's radar. The books are selling every day on Amazon and beginning to bring some dosh in. Could do better, though, if I had more reach and the book was cheaper.
4. Need to get back into the school visit mode.
5. Need to rehearse new rock songs for Saturday's gig. If my lung infection permits.
6. Looking forward to the Wigtown Book Festival and Frankfurt.

Getting Hungry... Here's a wee recipe...

Prawns in garlic (not for those who may soon have -an important interview / an intimate chat / a long snogging session in mind.)

12 x uncooked tiger prawns (the grey squidgy ones)
four cloves of garlic
olive oil x 2 table spoons
salt
chili flakes
black pepper
red onions
pitta bread (wholemeal)

Slit each prawn along its spinal chord.
Place in sizzling oil plus onions (chopped)
throw in salt, chilli and pepper

put frozen pita bread in toaster.

serve with a huge glass of Montagany Premier Cru.

Job done.
