The author game is very tricky. I mean, you have to write 2-3 novels per year; be prepared to entertain 120 children per day and still be nice to your own family. I mean... Trying my best and stuff but I tend to get a little grumpy from time to time. Asthma UK are looking at a school project for the Denthan Series in the fall, and it sounds as if there may be even more children totempt over to the dark side soon. You know, it is truely magical when you get 30 children shouting out new monster names and then drawing pictures after readings and even forming stories. The Magic Scales is selling well enough but I'm told I have to push the second book - The Second Gateway, much more in sessions. Nag, nag, nag... The Publisher is also bullying me into finishing the final Denthan book by Xmas. I mean...

As an author, you also have to be very nice, nay diplomatic to people, especially if they run festivals or own a book shop. I fear I may have opened my gob a bit too much this week. Honesty and diplomacy are not the best of bed fellows...
